Overview

Design Brief

This project is a case study and redesign of Ctrip mobile app. To optimize the user experience, I used the Jacob Nielsen's 10 UX heuristic principles to evaluate and analyze Ctrip's flight booking task flow. Then I upgraded the "search flight" and "flight filter" interface to fix the current pain points and added a "shopping cart" section to deal with the short-term memory load burden of users.

Key Challenges

  • How to combine design trends to innovate vision while inheriting Ctrip's brand characteristics?

  • How to make the "search flight" page more visually intuitive and novice-friendly?

  • According to the user's mindset, how to optimize the "round-trip flight selection" page and multi-dimensional filters?

  • How to deal with short-term memory overload issues when users comparing different flight combinations in multiple dimensions?
